Hospice and palliative care is the active care of patients with advanced, progressive and incurable disease, and is an approach that seeks to improve the quality of life for clients and their families facing the problems associated with life‐threatening illness. The goal is to prevent and relieve suffering through treatment of pain, as well as to address other problems, both physical and spiritual.
While the hospice agency provides the skilled staff such as doctors, nurses, and social workers, the day to day care giving duties are usually provided by family and friends. Arcadia can provide that day to day care to relieve those closest to the client so they can spend enjoyable quality time with their loved one, get adequate rest themselves, and take care of other responsibilities that may need their attention.
Arcadia provides hospice experienced care givers to supplement and complement hospice services and provides those services with compassion, comfort and dignity. Services Arcadia provides
